The objectives of the Commission on American Parliamentary Practice
include:

To deepen and widen knowledge of parliamentary law and to create understanding
and enthusiasm for its effective use as a significant aspect of democratic
action

To promote more extensive teaching of parliamentary procedure at all educational
levels

To facilitate the exchange of parliamentary experiences and knowledge among
the members of CAPP and other interested organizations.

To take the initiative in the development of new practices in parliamentary
procedure.
