COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course is designed to prepare students to compete in a competitive business environment by providing them with an understanding of a wide range of analytic tools and procedures used to support management decisions for planning, operating, and controlling business operations, as well as for improving effectiveness and efficiency.

ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL INTEGRITY: We do not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.
ASSIGNMENTS: The specific reading assignments and homework problems due for each class session will be made during the preceding class. Each student should be prepared to present and discuss the solutions to all of the homework problems on the due date. *Spreadsheet problems (3) will be solved using EXCEL and will be turned in on the due date. Submission must include separate formula sheet by cell. All assignments will be submitted as e-mail attachments.
CASE PRESENTATIONS: Solutions to Activities (A) will be presented by two students who will have been assigned the problem in advance
WRITING ASSIGNMENT: A writing assignment - Biography/Career Objectives - is due on February 15. It should be mechanically perfect (grammar, spelling, diction, and usage), content rich, and stylistically appropriate, and submitted as a double-spaced MS WORD document.
QUIZZES: A short quiz on each chapter will be given at the beginning of the coverage of that chapter.
GRADING: No make-up exams unless approved in advance.
