Marina Acocella is studying veterinary medicine at Purdue University.

 

 

Joyce Alcazar Graduated in May of 2003. We are not sure where she is now, but we will probably hear from her soon!

 

 

Matt Anderson is pursuing a Ph.D. in the Tumor Biology Program at Georgetown University.
Matt was awarded the 2003 Biology Faculty Award.

 

 

Joshua Broadwater is now in the final year of the Veterinary Medicine Program at Virginia Tech.

 

 

Kimberly Blotzer is around and we hope to hear from her soon.

 

 

Elizabeth Burdette is attending Medical School at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

 

 

Nick Caruana is studying Medicine at the Georgetown University School of Medicine.

 

 

Mike Crimmins is studying medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. 

 

 

Josh D'Ascoli changed his major to business, but we still see him a lot (he is a biologist at heart).

 

 

David Dahill just took the MCATs and is currently applying to medical school.

 

 

Arianne Dalton is looking for a position in the Fisheries Sciences field. In the meantime, she is using her expertise and background as one of our best collegiate sailors while working at Annapolis Performance Sailing.

 

 

Brian DelliGatti is studying medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is currently the President of his Class and planning on a career in Emergency Medicine.

 

 

Kate Disbennnett is at the University of Maryland, College Park.

 

 

Lisa Fitzgerald-Miller is one of our 2003 Colgate Palmolive Fellows. She is examining the effects of DHA and EPA on skin cells. Lisa was awarded the Biology Faculty Award in 2004 (jointly with Meagan Orth, see below).  That is the highest award bestowed by the Department, and is voted on by all Faculty in the Department of Biological Sciences.

 

 

Matt Folstein is attending Medical School at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
He was awarded the Biology Faculty Award for 2005. 

 

 

Sonia Gondal is studying dentistry at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. 

 

 

Dorothy Harris is now a Ph.D. student in the Neuroscience program at UCLA.
Dorothy was selected as one of ESSENCE Magazine's "10 most Incredible College Women" for 2001 and was featured in the November issue. We always knew she was an Incredible College Woman. It was nice to see her nationally recognized!

    

 

 

Candice Harrison is studying Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech.

 

 

Ashley Hurley is in the Physician's Assistant program at Shenandoah University.

 

 

Karen Jackson moved to Atlanta after graduation and is looking into graduate schools.

 

 

Janel Keener is attending Medical School at the American University on St. Maarten's. Janel was chosen to be the keynote speaker at the 2005 Salisbury University Graduation Ceremony.

 

 

Melissa Kulp now works in the Research and Development Department of Immucor, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia.

 

 

Kelly Lucksho is now (June, 2005) Kelly Bailey (congratulations Kelly!). She is a
Lab Technician IV in the Parasitology and Bacteriology Laboratory in the Health
Services Department at Perdue Farms, Inc.

 

 

Justin Miller is studying medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. 

 

Kendra Modell is studying medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She and Justin Miller (see above) are in the same class. What fantastic representation of SU!

 

 

Katrina Moncure is a Laboratory Technician for a firm in in Gaithersburg, Md.

 

 

Melissa Moore received a Master's Degree in Forensic Science from Marshall University and is now (2005) in the second year of the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the University of Florida.
She was awarded the Biology Faculty Award in 2001.
 

 

 

Nicole Muratore went to a Master's program at Johns Hopkins University. 

 

 

Meagan Orth is one of our 2003 Colgate-Palmolive Fellows. She is currently a Ph.D. student studying Genetic Counseling at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.  Meagan was awarded the 2004 Biology Faculty Award, which is the highest award bestowed by the Department.

 

 

 

Marc Porto received a Master of Science in Forensic Science degree from Arcadia University in PA in 2006. He is now a Forensics Scientist at a lab called National Medical Services near Philadelphia.

 

 

Shaun Smith recently graduated (2004) from the Physician's Assistant Program at Arcadia University. He is now a surgical PA-C with Christiana Care Health Services in Delaware.

 

 

Tim Teffeau graduated in May of 2003. We expect to hear from him soon.

 

 

Jeremy White is studying Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

 

Ashley Wilmoth is a Technician fir Intervet Inc.

 

 

Jessica Wirth is studying Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
